i am 10th grade in hs
ill just go straight to the point
i have got 4.2 1 sm of fresh and 4.0 2sm of fresh and 4.0 1sm of this year
i have recently received transcript and i was surprised because i was expecting somewhere near 4.0 but i had 3.8 i found out it was because the art class that i took in summerschool
which i did so purely because it was grad requirement, i got b in both sems
so im just wondering because ,no offence to art people, art is not important subject because i am not going to an art school or anything, will it matter much?
i mean for an example is degree of severity equal getting B in art as in lets say getting b in Chem AP because it affects the GPA number equally?
and also i was wondering, you know how some colleges calculate GPA differently. does that mean like excluding useless subjects like PE?
sorry i am just so paranoid.
thx guys

I don’t really think most schools are going to care that much if you got a B in something like art or gym.

And yes, many colleges will exclude non-academic subjects when recalculating your GPA.

And let this be a lesson to you the next time you are tempted to slack off in a class that you don’t think is “important”.

^ Except it will affect the overall GPA and the class rank. Otherwise why would the OP have posted?
