GPA

Can anyone tell how much GPA does stanford need to to admit a student.

Stanford rejects people with 4.0 all the time, but they also admit people with lesser grades who have outstanding test scores and outside activities. If your grades are less than perfect, you need to work hard enough on everything else that it doesn’t matter.

I’m a student with 2.9 GPA will they acccept it. Or how is the eligibility criteria? Is this accepted and you mentioned “test score and outside activity and other” can you tell what age they?. .

You can see from section C the Common Data Set at this link that 0.13% of last year’s freshmen had a GPA similar to yours. That means almost 99.9% of their freshmen had a higher GPA.

However, there is almost certainly a college (or several!) out there who would love to have you as a student. I just wouldn’t pick the ones with 96% rejection rates.

Thanks for that. But I think this is for Undergraduate admission. But I am looking into Graduate studies.

sorry for the typos.

If you have a 2.9 GPA you should be looking elsewhere. It is up to you to do the basic research about programs in your area of study.

Next time it would probably be quicker to include all of the relevant information in the original post. That way we don’t give resources that aren’t helpful to you – sorry about that!

Taken a note on that.
