While I know that there is a large range of stats, and no particular cutoff, I was wondering what GPA McGill takes when considering. I went on their site, and it doesn't help much. From what I gather, its 10, 11, and first part of 12. Is this correct or not? If so, is an unweighted GPA of roughly 3.57 decent, with a good bundle of extracirriculars and a good essay? I am a Canadian citizen living in California.

it looks at 11 and 12 for Faculty of Arts and sciences. Extra curriculars dont mean anything whatsoever.

According to http://www.mcgill.ca/arr/profile/ the median GPA for entering US students is 3.7. There is much good data on this webpage.

Admissions only looks at Grade 11 and 12 grades, class rank and standardized test scores. The application has no ec's, essays or letters of recommendation. As a Canadian living in the US, you will be in the US student pool for admissions but are eligible for Canadian tuition rates.

I don't know about the US students entering averages, but in terms of general entering averages, McGill seems to have 88.9 out of a possible 100. It is #1 in Canada in terms of the entering averages: http://www.univforum.com/canadian-universities/viewtopic.php?t=1296
