Does anyone know how they re-calculate your GPA at Elon?

As I recall, Honors grades get one number bump (i.e. an "A" in honors is a 5.0). AP gets 2 numbers (A = 6.0). They only look at "core" academic classes.

This is based on my recollection of a thread from last year and what I heard from an admissions counselor -- others probably have better memory than me.

That's correct, and it is only for the core courses (math, science, english, history, and foreigh language). What I am not sure of is when Elon reports the incoming class average gpa, is it the Elon computed GPA or the high school gpa.

Again, I'm relying on my fading memory, but I think that starting this past year the reported GPA is the re-computed GPA. Before that, I don't think it was.
