Gpa..

I hope I can get accepted to UIUC..

UIUC is going to be my first choice..

but my GPA is about 3.4-3.5 (both weighted and unweighted)

and I did not take ACT yet, but I'm going to take it very soon..

I live in Illinois..

would it be possible to get into UIUC with 3.4-3.5 GPA??

It seem like almost all the people who got into UIUC has higher than 3.5 (I'm refering to the posts in this section)..

I hope I can get into LAS.. (if unlikely, as undecided..)

do I have any chance at all??

Well, it all comes down to your ACT. If you got a 30 or so on your ACT, it would probably counteract your low GPA.

Also, if you're a minority - that might help.

A minority other than Asian, sadly (which seems to be the trend in a lot of schools recently, especially with UIUC's high Asian student body already).

But yeah, your GPA isn't terrible. As Paerra said, an ACT of 30 or higher (or some impressive ECs) would mean you're in.

And good luck! UIUC isn't Harvard, it's not THAT hard to get into :) I'm sure you'll get in.

i had 3.27, and i got in

If you get a 30+ and aren't applying to engineering I'd say you have a decent shot

I had a 1460ACT and an unweighted GPA of about 3.2 and got into the College of Engineering. I'm OOS but I had some diiiirrrrtttyyy essays.

Also, the key thing is that the rigor of my class schedule was very, very high. Lots of hard classes, in other words :p.
