<p>How much importance does Stanford place on GPA? I know its hard to tell, but has anybody that has an amazing EC( like nationally/internationally award winning, but still has a pretty solid GPA) gotten in over those who are valedictorian? Should this person stress the importance of their amazing EC? Sorry, my school is a very small school and somewhat in the middle of nowhere and I'm new how admissions and decisions work. Someone told me Stanford likes people who are good in particular areas so the class is good as a whole. Is this true?</p>
