I’m currently a junior studying at George Mason but I’ve been looking into grad programs in the DC area and I’m liking Georgetown and a few others like GW. However, I haven’t been able to find out a lot of information about grad school GPAs other than most schools having a minimum 3.0 requirement. Is there an average GPA for grad programs? Specifically looking into applied economics or public policy? I’m pursuing a BA in economics and so far have a 3.43 cumulative but am concerned it’s not high enough to get me into grad school. Any insights?
Thanks!
Go look at the Grad Cafe website, and crawl though results on the programs you are interested in. It will take a while, but you may get s good idea of the profile of accepted students.
