Grade change in Calc D -> C

So this last semester. I got a D in my Calc AB class. I worked out a deal with my teacher which raised my D to a C. Do I notify the UC's? (Because they don't get senior grades until the final transcript) I already notified all my private schools though.

Then why would you have to notify them? They didn’t know about the D in the first place…

My counselor told me to report the grades because UC’s tell students to report it.

That’s exactly what the Calc AB teacher at my school does for students with D’s. I have him for pre calc but apparently seniors can sign a contract to raise their grade given that they get a 4 or a 5 on the AP Exam.

I wouldn’t tell them about that by the way, them knowing about it isn’t going to help your chances.

Well, I don’t know if not reporting it will have my acceptances rescinded. I’m afraid if I don’t report it, that will happen.

But if your grade is already raised to a C, then just report the C. Why would they need to know that you had a D, as long as the teacher keeps it as a C, then there is no reason to tell them you had a D at one point.

The UCs require you to report a D or an F. Is that the case now? You told us it was changed to a C. If so you no longer have a reporting requirement.

Apparently, it shows up as a D and they add in a seperate grade as a C. It really doesn’t make any sense to me…

Wow, that is so unbelievably unethical to change someone’s grade based on the AP score, which comes out after school is over. Hope colleges don’t learn about that.
