A colleague of the great scientist James Watson remarked that Watson was always “lounging
around, arguing about problems instead of doing experiments.” He concluded that “There is
more than one way of doing good science.” It was Watson’s form of idleness, the scientist
went on to say, that allowed him to solve “the greatest of all biological problems: the discovery
of the structure of DNA.” It is a point worth remembering in a society overly concerned with
efficiency.

Assignment: Do people accomplish more when they are allowed to do things in their own way? Plan and write an essay
in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples
taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.

People most of the time do better when the cooperate or work in groupes. The goal of civilization is that people help each others to acomplish something. the tennis star Rafael Nadal and navigator Christopher Columbus show us how important the cooperation is.

Rafael Nadal was a little kid when he started playing tennis. And as we know he became one of the most succesful players in the history of tennis. But if his uncle wasn't there, things will be totally different. He may not became a tennis player at all. But his uncle who worked very hard since Rafael was eight, to make of him number one in the world.

Christopher Columbus, the famous navigator who discovered the continant of America, was planing to go from Spain to India throw the Atlantic Ocean. And in the trip he found himself in a new continent, he thought that was India. And he didn't realised it until his partner Amerigo Vespucci noticed it. That mean whitout Amerigo. America will not be discovered at that time.

Rafael nadal was dependent to his uncle to succeed and Christopher Columbus to his guy Amerigo Vispucci. So, ooperating and working in groupes, usually have better results than working alone on one's own way.

The question is do people accomplish more when they do things their own was. Verses following an existing system.

Maybe you can respin that to ‘do people work better in group than alone’ but you really have to work at it.

What specifically was it about working with his uncle that helped Nadal? You dont tell us and we cant really guess what might have happened if Nadal just trained by himself. Maybe the results would have been the same.Maybe the uncle had a perspective on Nadal’s tennis that made the difference. Maybe he pushed him. Maybe he correctly allocated his training time. All of those are possible explanations, but you dont tell us.

You have the same problem with the Columbus example. You didnt convince the grader that working in a group was critical for the success.

argy is correct that you need to address the question better. You also need some serious editing: capitalization, tense and - don’t start sentences with “And” for starters.
