To change is to risk something, making us feel insecure. Not to change is a bigger risk, though we seldom feel that way. There is no choice but to change. People, however, can not be motivated to change from the outside. All of our motivation comes from within.

What motivated people to change? Plan and write an essay which you develop your point of view....

My essay:

Change is a concept that some people do not take well. For the composer Ludwig van Beethoven, he was forced to change, because he was losing his hearing. His motivation to continue composing came from the inside. One of my closest friends also reverted back to vegetarianism from self motivation too. Motivation to change comes from within.

The composer Ludwig van Beethoven has different periods of composition. In his late period, his works are notably dissonant and sonorous. Specifically, this can be illustrated with one of his last works for string quartet, the Grosse Fugue. Critics claim that this composition's dissonance rivals modern composers. This work is so dissonant because that way, Beethoven could hear slightly what he had composed. The work gets quite at times for the same reason. Furthermore, more dissonant sounds created more of a vibration that Beethoven could feel, thorough the use of a rod attached to the sound of his piano. He was self motivated to change so he could continue to compose. In present times, I have seen people change through self motivation.

My closest friend changed through self motivation. He reverted back to vegetarianism because after breaking it he claimed to have felt sluggish and he noticed he had gained about thirty pounds. His change in feeling and physical health motivated him to give up meat once again. Now, he is happy and likes the fact that he is slimmer. No one else pressured him to go back to vegetarianism. In fact, other people that we both know simply told him "Well, eating meat, you must exercise more." It was his self motivation to revert back to his old diet.

Motivation to change comes from within a being. If Beethoven was never self motivated to change, a large body of his works would not exist today. If my closest friend was not motivated, he would be larger than he is now, possibly unhappy and not feel their greatest. With motivation to change from within there is little one can not do.
