grade this essay....

<p>alright this is my second time attempting to write an SAT essay. my last one was graded a 6/12 and i hope i improved by now...</p>

<p>anyways the thing to write about was: "Do changes that make our lives easier not necessarily make them better?"</p>

<p>here is the essay: ( i am looking for a 9/12-10/12 atm)</p>

<pre><code>The concept of change certainly makes our lives so much more easier than in the past. Changes in technology, government and our daily lives are some of the many things that have made our lives easier.
Back in the day, my father would tell me how life wasn't as easy it is today. In order to finish an essay or some other assignment, my father would have to go to the library where he would forage for information. However, nowadays with the change and advancement of technology, you can find all the information on your computer or smartphone without spending hours and hours trying to find information in a library.
Certainly the change in technology has made our lives easier but the change in government makes a huge impact on our lives. The U.S. government consists of many positions. These include the Supreme Court, Congressmen and President positions. After a certain amount of years, a new person is elected to each position. These people are chosen by the public who accept them to bring change and ease to the country. For instance the position of President was given to the Barack Obama several years ago. Although he has increased the U.S.'s debt to the trillions, he has also made the lives of many U.S. citizens easier. President B. Obama has created health care plans, tax reduction plans and has also done a great job maintaining 'peace' with other nations. With the changes he has made, he has most certainly made the lives of millions of U.S. citizens easier and beneficial.
In our daily lives change can be very helpful. For instance in my daily life i have always skipped breakfast and have procrastinated my homework. However, since the second semester of school i have made the effort to make and eat breakfast and complete my homework on time. With these simple changes i find that i can focus better and i am know receiving better grades in school.

<p>Succinctly, although change is a hard concept to accept, it certainly brings ease upon billions of people.</p>

<p>Honestly, I may just be inexperienced in SAT essays or anything of the sort, because I’m in the process of learning it as well, but I think that your essay did not fully address the prompt. In my understanding, the type of “change” in question is already stated as one that makes life easier. The prompt was asking whether a change that makes life easier is really one that makes it better. Indeed, you’ve proved that change can bring convenience, but does it necessarily improve the quality of life?</p>

<p>That’s just my two cents. I haven’t taken an SAT at all yet, just studying right now, so I have no idea on what criteria the graders review your essay.</p>

<p>I actually agree with Henzerich. This would likely be given no points.</p>

<p>yeah i just came back to check the thread again and i realized at the same time that i am completely off topic…</p>

<p>damit…</p>

<p>say the prompt was: “Do changes in our lives make things easier?”</p>

<p>do u think i could have gotten a 9/12? or even a 10?</p>
