Hey guys,

Quick question. Do colleges look at the number of A+s that students receive on their transcript. The reason I ask that is because I (probably dumbly) have invested alot more time that a few others to get mostly A+s in all my courses where as those others slide by with A-s.

Thanks,
Robbie

A higher GPA is better than a lower GPA.

Ya, but at my HS a 4.0 is awarded to all students who received an A (including A+s and A-s), so our GPAs would be the same.

Most colleges recalculate GPA based on their own criteria. Hopefully your HS reports numerical scores.

An A+ will definitely look better than an A-, but an A- with better ECs, essays, and recs tops an A+.

Awesome, thanks guys! I’m glad to hear that colleges will at least see that I have put some extra time into my classes.
