Grades and SAT Scores

Are grades more important than SAT scores in the application process?
Can you get into an Ivy with a few B’s on your transcript?
Do colleges look at your ranking in your class even if your school does not provide that information?

I don’t really know how I would compare the importance of grades and test scores, but you can definitely get into an Ivy with some B’s on your transcript. I was accepted to Penn last week, and I had 2 B’s and 2 B+'s (all from junior year). You don’t have to be perfect. Just do your best, and write solid essays in your own voice. Everything beyond that is out of your control. Good luck!

grades are more important than SAT/ACT, but SAT/ACT are still pretty important
yes you can get into an ivy with Bs… ivys are looking for many things beyond your grades and SAT/ACT
if your school does not provide ranking, then colleges have no ranking to look at.

Congrats and thanks so much!

I’d say having decent grades and a high SAT is fine, but not the other way around (atleast for high-tier/Ivy level schools).
