Grades are getting bad.

So I am currently a junior in high school and I took Spanish my freshman and Sophomore year and I passed the final and I was told that it would be a simple class and it was more of a cultural thing. Well, come to find out it is a real, sit there and learn class. Well, over the summer I totally forgot about Spanish and I really have no clue what I'm doing in the class. Anyways, my first quarter grade was a 70 something and my second quarter was a 65. I know I'm still passing but I was wondering with the low grades, would that affect my chances of getting in a good college? Even with the 70 and the 65, my total averages were an 85 and 84.2. If it helps at all I'm in normal English, and Social Studies classes and I am going easy in science because I took chem last year. In math I'm in Pre-Calculus.

So, my question is will my low Spanish grades affect my chances of getting into a good college?

What do you mean by ‘good?’ There are lots of good schools where Cs in Spanish and a mix of As and Bs in other subjects would be just fine.

What schools are you looking at?

Grades are overrated. I had awful grades in HS.

I earned 21 semester hours with all A’s from a local CC then transferred to one of the best public universities in the nation. Then I went on to receive a masters from a top 30 university. All of this before the age of 25. I am more educated and have a better paying job than the 2 valedictorians in my graduating class. Suck on that HS!

My HS GPA was a 1.2 and I finished last in my class.
