Wouldn't say so. His college classes are high too.

Not necessarily...for one thing, some of it might be objective. For another, some of those are college classes, and seriously - homeschool parents don't just give their kids A's for the sake of it.

umm to be fair, you can't be sure if all homeschoolparents dont give away A's. 100 in both classes? no errors? fd;klhf;dslhk

Well, I guess you can't say that all wouldn't do that, but not all would do that, either - for one thing, homeschool parents tend to want their kids to learn.

Extra credit, possibly?

And we don't even know that those grades are parent assigned (there are plenty of other ways - tutors, distance learning, public independant study programs, co-ops, etc.)

does anybody know what a good grade for APUSH would be? i have a C right now in my progress report (not actual report card) and i want to bring that up. what do i have to do and what goal should is strive for?

If you want to get into top50 university you should certainly strive for A.

well i doubt anybody in the class has anything above a 90. i will stive for an A but hopefully get a B or something.

what are some tips to studying for history tests specifically?

For studying history tests, I use my textbooks website and take practice quizzes since my teacher gets his questions off that website.

And I usually read the book the night before the quiz.

well my teacher says that u shouldn't read the chapter after you takes notes on it, is that true? or would it be better to reread all chapters befoe the test?

Heck, of course reread all chapters before test.
Outlines usually take only 10% of studying time, 50% goes to reading, 10% to cramming vocab and 20% to study group with friends.

and how much is your total study time? lol

got this big ass test on wednesday that i gotta study for starting now..i just dont know how to. can someone help me with that?

its chapters 1-5 from the pageant book

Well, I guess it's about seven-eight hours per chapter.
Four hours originally, first reading+outlining where outlining+skimming.
About three hours on chapter re-reading before tests/quizzes+cramming vocab from course-notes.org
And total of two hours from study group meetings.

Depends on your teacher's questions. I'd certainly recommend vocab. from course-notes.org, outlines and such are not "worth continental" but cramming vocab from notecards helps

i dont think shes gonan test as much vocab. its an AP style test so its gonnna be like "all of the following led to the american revolution except"....

i hate those type of questions

mr chipset: from your expierence, did you think rereading the chapters before the test helped you do better?

Argh, these questions are so unprecise, always have troubles answering them. But still, names do help.

Heck yes!

We have no choice but to reread.

Every answer on the test is correct. He says we have to choose the answer that is the "most" correct.
