Hey I was just wondering how different schools calculate gpa. I thought all school basically did it like mine (A is a 4.0, b is a 3.0 etc) and they just average. But my friend told me his school works on an 11 point system, and now I'm seeing people with a gpa that works with a 100 point system. So just out of curiosity, how do your schools calculate gpa?

UNWEIGHTED:
A- to A+ (usually 90% +) = 4.0
B- to B+ (usually 80% - 89%) = 3.0
C- to C+ (usually 70% to 79%) = 2.0
D- to D+ (usually 60% to 69%) = 1.0
F (usually 59% or below) = 0.0

Weighted grades are only for AP courses (not for honors classes), and add one point to the GPA, so an A is a 5.0, a B is a 4.0, etc.

A (94-100) = 4.0
B (85-93) = 3.0
C (74-84) = 2.0
D (65-73) = 1.0
F (0-64) = 0.0

Nothing is weighted.
