Graduate Program in Sociology

Hello everyone - I am looking to apply to graduate school this fall and I need some help finding "safety schools" for my PhD.

I've already narrowed my search to 5 schools that are all very good.

UCSD, Stanford, USC, UCLA, and NYU.

I've researched the programs there and 3 of the schools (Stanford, USC, NYU) offer full funding for students accepted.

My stats: I have a 4.0 GPA at Arizona State University, research experience studying emotion regulation in toddler-age children, internships as a T.A. for 3 Sociology courses. And I am planning on taking my GRE over the summer since I will have more time to study.

I have 3 letters of recommendation already planned from one sociology professor, one family studies professor, and one psychology professor (who happens to be very well-known in her field).

Anyway - I need some help finding a couple of universities that may not be the best, but offer a quality education and perhaps full, if not most, funding for their students.

Suggestions? Any comments on things that I can do until then to up my chances?
