Could someone list some common idiomatic phrases that are used in English? Do you have to know them by heart? (Some are fairly obvious, but some I have a hard time with)

The questions that I miss on Writing are almost always idiomatic!

On the SAT, most idioms are going to be related to the prepositions. The error will be the incorrect preposition. Example: My friend is insensitive of my problems. In English we wouldn't say "insensitive of"; we would say "insensitive to". If English is your native language, you probably already know the idioms.
