<p>Anyone know how to memorize idioms? or where I can find a complete list of idioms we have to know?</p>

<p>i know that gruber’s has a list of idioms in its grammar section. but unless you’re a non-native speaker, i don’t see why you should have to memorize idioms, which ought to come naturally to you…</p>

<p>im from america, just a few of them confuse me like something with to or of or with.</p>

<p>The oceans do not so much divide the world as unite it.
most of the time it’s not so much…as, notice the parallelism there.
not so much …as means— rather than..</p>

<p>The great use of a school education is not so much to teach you things as to teach you the art of learning.</p>

<p>by the way, the may 08 SAT actually tested this, i didn’t know it back then =S
