Grammatical Errors in Essays

Hi, everyone. I have some questions regarding the grammatical errors in the essays.
I find that there are some obvious grammatical errors and typos in my essays.
However, these errors are not significant (past tense and present tense). Will this hurt my chance to MIT?

Can I send in the edited version to MIT?
Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Typos are common, and sending an edited version will only call more attention to the mistakes.

Just to reiterate what Mollie said,

i noticed a couple obvious tense errors in my essay and started freaking out. There is no reason to freak out unless you have SO many errors that it makes you seem as if you were careless in doing the application (as if you didn't care whether you got in or not).

I got into MIT early, typos and all :-D

chill. :-)

^^^Congrats, actually belated congratulations. I think minor errors are OK and I agree with Carlos3co as he said that major errors may affect you negatively.

I guess those subtle errors will show that we are also humans at least (He He)

I hope this helps!!
