Hi. Does anybody here have experience with GVSU’s nursing program? They say on the website that a limited number of students are selected for Direct Admit. I don’t mind that it’s a competitive program, but it’s confusing because even those who get into DA have to submit an application for the clinical portion. That seems unusual for a DA program. Also, is it quite difficult to get into the program outside of DA! My son does very well in high school but you never know how they will do in college. Thanks in advance for any help.
Answering my own question in case anybody is interested. Kids are automatically admitted into the direct admit nursing program if they get a 30 on the ACT or a 1400 on the SAT. Then, after getting at least a 3.5 in the pre reqs they “apply” to the nursing program although this is really just a process of letting them know you’re ready to start the clinicals portion. Fantastic facilities.
