<p>I recently received my financial aid letter and as expected, the total cost has risen. However I noticed they I received a lot less grant money from my university. I did not do so well my first year and I was wondering if that is reason why I received less grant money? Or could it just be budget problems...</p>
<p>It is perfectly OK for you to pick up the phone and call the financial aid office. The people there can tell you why your aid is different this year.</p>

<p>slightly, but not enough that my mother suddenly has to pay nearly 3 times as much as opposed to last year…</p>
