Great Courses at Penn

I'd really appreciate it if anyone can list a few courses that they really enjoyed at Penn and found really valuable. They can be in any subject area or from any school.

Thanks so much!

History of the Symphony with Lawrence Bernstein. (Fulfills Cross-Cultural Analysis requirement for CAS, Humanities requirement for SEAS, and Global Environment requirement for Wharton.)

I can’t overstate how much I got out of the class or how wonderful and kind a professor Dr. Bernstein was. Favorite class I took at Penn - literally looked forward to it every day I had it. Bernstein’s somewhat of a legend in the music department, so take a course with him if you can.

Also, take a class with Thomas Safley if you can. He teaches Europe in a Wider World (fulfills a gen ed requirement) and Economic History of Europe (doesn’t fulfill anything I can think of), but still a great course). Fantastic professor and will keep you on your toes.
