S applying RD to Dartmouth.
As a parent watching this process from afar, I have to say way-to-go to Dartmouth Admissions! Within 48hrs of sending app, email confirmation received. 48 hours later, username/password. 48 hrs after that, status notification that application was complete. 9 days after app submitted, contacted for interview, which will take place in 2 days.
No other college has been this efficient.
Hoping this is an indication of how the rest of the college is run.
Frankly our S has some apprehension about whether or not it will be the right fit , if he is fortunate enough to be accepted, with the preponderance of Greek life...not his style.
But, if he is accepted, given my great first impression, I will encourage him to look more closely.
Wish all colleges could be as responsive. Our kids work diligently on their apps, and it's nice to get at least some "feedback" in a timely manner.

Hi lillypod, I agree with Dartmouth’s being on the ball! Within 1 business day of my D1’s early acceptance, her interviewer contacted her to congratulate her, and the local alumni association invited her to their holiday party.

Happy to know that this may be a trend…will have to keep fingers crossed now;)
Congrats to your daughter!

What impressed me when my son was a student was the approachability and friendliness of the staff. It felt like I was stepping out of a big city pressure cooker into a small town.
The pace of life in the Upper Valley is just so much slower. You are likely to ask directions and be told more than you want to know.
