Great school, not-so-great SAT scores??

I'm a junior. The top two schools on my college list are Georgetown University and Northwestern (IL). I'm OOS for both.

I'm worried because although I have a ~4.2 GPA (W), and really good ECs (according to my GC), I've yet to take the SATs...and I get severe test anxiety. I'm worried I'll do horribly on the SATs, and even though the colleges will superscore that it'll be the reason I don't get accepted.

Any advice?

Prepare, prepare, prepare.

there is a great website, you can google it called “i need a pencil”. It was created by a harvard student, and it helps with all sorts of stuff, I love it

also - take some practice tests, get a feel for the questions

since you are a junior (like me) you can take the SAT 2-3 times before we apply for colleges, so prepare a little and just take the first test as a test run

Do well on your tests is really the only advice I can give. It won’t be the end of the world if your test scores are weak, but weak test will unquestionably be a blow to your chances of admission. Hopefully the rest of your application is strong so that you will still have a decent shot.

Remember that both Georgetown disregards your Writing score and that both schools suggest that you have 3 SAT Subject Tests.
