Please let us know if they offer financial aid/scholarships that cover at least 50% of the fees.

I've heard of G20 schools. Are they on par with the GLADCHEMMS? Any schools that offer aid?

Le Rosey
-is it considered a "great" school?
-do they really give out scholarships?

King's Academy (Jordan)
-they just said goodbye to their first graduating class
-matriculation list is pretty impressive
-located in Mabada, Jordan
-safety is a major concern(?)

There are many academically challenging schools in the UK, but from some * preliminary* research, it seems to me that:

(1) It’s hardly possible to gain admission into these schools for the 10th/11th grade since the focal entry point is typically year 9 (age 13).
(2) UK boarding schools are known to be notoriously elitist; and
(3) Financial funds are much less abundant than at HADES.

Sorry, it’s an off-topic comment, but I have to say this. The 9/11 was almost 9 years ago! It’s not true that “radical groups are everywhere” or “lots of terrorists” etc. Completely wrong!
I think the media in US don’t do justice to the Arab world. Many Arab countries enjoy peace and higher standard of living than Americans can imagine. At least 2 Arab countries rank above US in terms of average income per capita, and there are a few others in top 20 of the world.

Boardingschool, hey, welcome back! Is it because they have those oil billionaires? Cities like Dubai are obviously richer than Nashville.

I just googled “the most expensive boarding school”. Turns out none of them even mentioned “financial aid/bursaries/scholarships” on their websites.

But I’m Chinese. My country is not a UWC member. I will be in a different pool where there are refugees, etc. They clearly state on the app that aid is very rare in this case. Sigh.

Oh, that’s too bad, gonnastop. Keep your options open and hopefully you will find some place. Have you looked into the Davis Scholarship? Emma Willard and L’ville are two schools that come to mind that participate. I don’t know a lot about it, but I THINK it is for international students.

A friend of mine went there and enjoyed his two years. He paid all the fees and told me it was a great opportunity for him to meet different people, but the curriculum wasn’t challenging enough.
It’s just his opinion. I’ll call them sometime.

Thanks!!!(I really can’t believe British schools don’t offer aid to internationals, just like Oxbridge)
