Great theater programs in the Midwest?

I live in Louisville, Ky, and though I want to leave Kentucky for sure, I am not sure if I am prepared to go out of my region yet.

Colleges that I know are wonderful for acting in the Midwest region:
Otterbein
Evansville
Webster
Loyola Chicago
DePaul
Roosevelt
Columbia Chicago

I am not fully aware of all the acting BFAs in the midwest, so if you know of more, fill me in please. :)

Ball State University in Muncie Indiana. It is more KNOWN for its MT program, but the acting program is just as prestigious and has produced some incredible performers. I’m a freshman here and I couldnt have made a better choice. My list was very similar to yours though. Feel free to ask any questions!

Not a BFA, but there’s Northwestern.

Also for BFA’s you can look into Millikin, Western Michigan, and University of Michigan (which I know is kinda far, but I think TECHNICALLY it’s the Midwest)

University of Minnesota has an excellent BFA program in conjunction with the Guthrie theater. They also have a BA program.

So by heading north from Kentucky you do know your list can also be divided into “cold,” “colder” and “coldest” (especially if you add UMinn to the mix). I say this fondly (sort of) as a resident of one of the said “colder” locales!

I am also a current student at Ball State University.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask away! :)
