Greek Life and transferring

Hey everyone,
I'm a freshman at the University of Vermont and am looking to transfer after my fourth semester here for the fall semester of my junior year. I'm not currently involved in Greek life but was wondering whether or not the time commitment required would be worth it, in terms of a resume and acceptance to another school. How do colleges look at Greek life, and is it a worthy pursuit for reasons outside of social and philanthropic pursuits?
Thanks,
Caroline

I wouldnt recommend you rushing this semester. First you have to pay dues, which are steep and would not be worth being apart of a sorority for one semester. Second, rushing is a huge time commitment, but you will probably make a lot of new friends. That might compel you to stay at your current honestly, so be weary of the possibility of a last minute opt-out of transferring.

Why not just wait until you get to a new school to rush? After all, you dont have enough time to really get very involved to the point that it would make any real difference on a resume.
