I never thought of myself as the "sorority type" until sending in my SIR to GW. For some reason the prospect of greek life seems more exciting at this school then any of the others I was accepted to.
So, what's Greek life like at GW? How's the rush process? What are the stigmas attached to the different sororities?

Someone please answer this, I’d like to know as well!

im a gw freshmen who just got done my first year… and my advice is to definitely rush. unless you’re extremely social or extremely rich (i.e. spending gross amounts of money at a club every weekend) then GW will be rather boring unless you rush. definitely do it!

^Im not in greek life and GW isn’t boring at all. There’s always something to do on and off campus. Also, you can go to greek parties without being greek.

I rushed in the spring for a sorority and can definitely say that GW wasn’t boring either semester, with or without Greek life. I didn’t think I was a sorority type at all but I’ve actually really enjoyed being in one! My advice is to give rush a try, if you don’t think it’s for you then you don’t have to continue with the pledging process. Good luck!
