<p>the large IFC fraternities haven't ever had black members and aren't going to have a black pledge anytime soon, that's just the way it is. They have no obligation to, its a fraternity not a public drinking fountain.</p>
<p>That said, black students can and do still come to their parties, but just like with a white student who's not a member they have to be invited.</p>
<p>Yeah, black greek life is WAY different than white greek life. Most, if not all of the Divine Nine, do not take freshman, and for good reason. There is a certain GPA and hour requirement that you have to have and the rushing process is quite a bit different. I'm no expert on this, I'm just going by the friends and family members I know that are/were apart of black greek lfe.</p>
<p>Dbate I think you should seriously look into joining one. But again, joining any greek organization should have a good deal of research involved so you can find the right one for you, white OR black.</p>
<p>I probably will join a black frat, but then my friends from high school wouldn't be in it. My mom was a Zeta, I wonder which one to choose, probably the one with the best house.</p>
