<p>As a future UW student next fall, I was curious if there is a solid greek life at Madison. All i hear is people bashing it and saying how small, unorganized, and inactive it is. I am very interested in rushing, but do no depend on a greek system and am perfectly able to socialize and have fun without it.</p>
<p>Those in it tend to be involved. Those not in it really have little to do with it (aside from some Freshman partying). It is less than 10% of undergrads which is lower than a lot of big public U’s.</p>
<p>It’s decent. You can be part of it or not. If you are a part of it, it will probably be a big part of your social life. However, it doesn’t have to be. I’m in a sorority but I mostly hang out with non-Greek people.</p>
