Grinnell RD 2023

For those who haven’t received an email, I suggest checking your spam/junk mail folders. College emails have been known to end up there

Waitlisted. 33 ACT, 4.25 gpa (3.85 UW), saluditorian, and prez of NHS. Yeah my hopes for getting into even more competitive colleges is out the window.

Nope, email still isn’t there! This is only going to increase my anxiety lol.

If I don’t get anything about scholarship in the acceptance letter, does that mean I didn’t get any?

Accepted w/ 23K scholarship!

Stats: 3.95 GPA, 32 ACT (33 superscore)
Involved in part time dual enrollment at a local university
Taken 2 AP, 2 Honors, and 6 IB classes
NHS Exec Board, Amnesty International President, Peer Mentoring Co-President, Bakery Job, Student Council, Choir

I’m beyond excited as Grinnell is one of my top, if not top, schools! To all of you who were waitlisted, I wish you all the best of luck. And to those who were rejected, please know that you probably worked so hard for this, and this doesn’t reflect you and your abilities. Keep your head up; there are tons of other amazing colleges out there!

I didn’t even write their optional why essay

@SWerShrimpy same and I was worried that it would affect me negatively. Honestly, I applied to this school like knowing it’s a great school but getting in especially w/ the 25k/year scholarship has made it a real option unlike some of the other privates I got into. I’m thankful and Grinnell is pretty well-known…
