Hey does anyone know how many they plan to accept and/or enroll?? last year's stats look pretty sad (around 6%) but I think that was just to adjust to the overyielding freshman class since they usually take around 30%.

It will probably depend on how many 1st years deposit this year. & of course the economy but read that Grinnell is putting more money into student FA.

I called and theyre taking 10 out of 200. awesome

That's very reassuring :P How is Grinnell coming up with these abysmal rates? Unless they're super-confident about their freshman yield this year.

The over-yield situation last year isn't just a one year blip that has gone away. They still have to house and teach 40+ people that they didn't expect to have for the next 3 years.

Of course, its such a strange year that the yield may not conform to historical patterns and they may end up changing their minds.
