While you're waiting for results, is there anything about this process that you'd change if you could? (Other than getting the schools to announce their results TODAY, I mean! :D)

In other words, is there anything that the schools could have done to make the application/interview process easier for you or less confusing? Is there anything you wish the schools had done that they didn't do? Or anything they did that you really wish they hadn't done? (For example, those mixed-signals holiday cards - would you rather not have received them at all?) What about interview scheduling, particularly with alumni and/or skype interviews - did you have issues you wished you hadn't?

I'm just curious and this seemed like a good time to ask. But, a word of caution, if you're a current applicant and you have a complaint, don't name names! Just call it "School X" and leave it at that . . . :)

One complaint I have is tuition/room and board expenses disclosure. Acceptances have been coming in, and deadlines for intent to register are outlined but no info on the costs.

Good idea for a thread dodgersmom.

The only complaint I had about the application process was that I felt the login information to check the status of my application could have been given sooner. Majority of the schools sent it to me around the day of the deadline or a little later, and when I found out some stuff were missing, I got really worried. If schools could inform us of our application status a bit earlier, we could have more time to get the materials in.

Oh, no, here comes a bunch of really worried applicants complaining about things they wish they would have done. Honestly, I do not really say things like this, but I feel that what ever happens is for the best. I believe this is what happened in my situation, and I could attribute a couple major mistakes (such as sending in wrong SSAT scores or submitting one of my applications in too early without proper amount of people reading over it) I made to some rejections that I received, but it forced me to end up in the right school in the long run. So for all of you worried applicants, it would be unwise to dread over what you could have done, or what you wish you would have included, or regret some of your remarks during a particular interview because it is over now, and it will probably not improve your situation in any way, just add stress to an already stressful enough process.

I don’t think the main idea of this thread is for applicants complaining about stuff they wished they could fix or do better on, but to talk about the parts of the application process, that made it more confusing or difficult to complete.

Oh, goodness no - we’ve seen enough of that already! This is your chance to vent about the things you think the schools could have done better, as yongatilla said, to make the process less confusing or difficult.
