The cubicles are AMAZING. everyone thinks they won't like them but then when you get to school and have water balloon fights over the walls ( or pillow fights, slighty more encouraged) they are amazing

Before coming to groton I was a straight A+ student at a public school. Now I get Bs at Groton, and have to work for them

NEprepgoer, what are the dining situations? Do you have to dress formal for dinner? If so, how often? What kind of food is offered at Groton? Do you have to wait on fellow students?

benevolent-
we have "sit down" 3x a week in the fall and 2x a week in the spring. Seating is assigned and a waiter is assigned to each table. These change every week. You have to dress nicely to these dinners, usually a sundress for a girl, and coat and tie for a guy.
Everyday you can get a custom sandwich, pb&j, salad, cereal, or the main meal, so lots of variety- and it's all good!!

As far as how many applicants groton gets each year- it's about 350-425.

I wonder what admittance will be for 10th grade fall '10? Also, what is it like to be a new 10th grader, without the benefit of previous year or years?

redsox, I don't attend Groton, but I happen to know that the average SSAT is 90%. I wouldn't blow the SSAT out of proportion, though it is important.

Thats good. My heart stopped for a second. But still, isn't ten kids about 1/8 of the class. It's not a huge number, but it still is rather significant.
