Which is better?

It completely depends on what your situation is. They are all good programs for the people that qualify for them.

RETP is for GA residents only, so that’s out for you.

GTREP starts at Armstrong Atlantic, Savannah State, or Georgia Southern then ends at GT Savannah. The Engineering Alliance starts at Armstrong Atlantic then finishes at GT Atlanta.

One thing to consider is that Tech recently announced that it is ceasing undergraduate education at GT Savannah. That campus will be research and graduate students only. So GTREP will very probably go away.

As far as what is “better”: A GT degree is a GT degree, so the only difference is campus life and the city. Savannah is a satellite campus so it awards the exact same degree as GT Atlanta (there’s no “Savannah” on the diploma). This is different than separate universities, like UT-Austin and UT-El Paso (UTEP) which issue different degrees.

Thank a lot BanjoHitter. You have been a big help in my college admissions process. I appreciate the info and your time. Can you by any chance tell me about the social scene at AASU?
