I was planning on applying Pre-Dentistry to Pitt this year but am worried about the GPA requirement for Dental School- it says one must maintain a 3.8 science and general GPA as a full-time student in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. That seems really high, is there anyone currently in the program that could enlighten me on the topic please?

any responses to this. I too have the same question

If this is a GAP program (like guaranteed Med) then it is correct. I know 4 years ago the med requirement was a 3.75 minimum every single semester (i.e. if you got less than a 3.75 in a given semester you were done, even if your overall was >3.75). So a 3.8 for the dental school doesn’t surprise me. If you’re still concerned why not just contact either OAFA or the dental school admissions?
