does the guaranteed transfer agreement that colleges like CALS have with two year and community colleges deter from the legitimacy of the school/programs (i.e. maintain a certain GPA within a 2 year/community college and then receive guaranteed transfer admission into a CALS major)? in other words, how does the college's reputation/prestige/academic quality compare RELATIVELY as opposed to other colleges within Cornell (Arts, Engineering, etc.) that do not hold this agreement?

I've never heard anyone here mention anything about it (in a deragatory way). I know a few people from community colleges and they are great and super motivated. They just got off track at one point and are now back on track. I wouldn't worry about it.
