Guaranteed Admission?

I'm currently a Sports Medicine major at Florida State University and I heard that there are Medical schools that offer guaranteed admissions to their medical program if you sign a contract stating you will work in that state for a number of years. I think I've heard that a university in Nebraska offers this but I haven't been able to find much information on it. I was wondering if anyone had any information on this?

Thank you

I’ve never heard of that specifically. The closest things that I know of our programs where you can get accepted during your 2nd or 3rd year of undergrad as long as you agree not to apply to other schools. Maybe there is a stipulation that you stay in state as well, I don’t know.

I think that might be in-state tuition in a certain state (Ohio?) if you agree to work there after med school.

If you are a Florida resident, you have some good in-state choices right there in FL. That is your best bet for admission.

Actually, Ohio schools give you in-state tuition just for living there for a year (even if you’re a student that year) :)
