gotta love applying ED then gettin deferred to RD then getting a 2yr GT... yeah been there. done that. sucks big time. totally understand. plus i applied last year for soph transfer and got rejected. again.

macksix: I'm currently in London, where I've lived before and my priorities at the moment are really to experience the new. I figure that I've got all my lfie to live and work in the city, but in a small town like Ithaca with gorges to boot? :o That and 'cos I'm hoping to do Hotel Admin, and Cornell tops everywhere for that. Ok ok, I'll admit-- all that plus the fact I'm still hopelessly in love with that university. Some dreams are hard to let go.

No offense but if someone wanted to Cornell SO BADLY then how couldn't they get a 3.0 at another school (when there's a good chance that Cornell is going to be even harder than that school also)? I have to get a 3.3 for my freshman year and I will DEFINITELY get it NO MATTER WHAT...period. Congrats to the incoming GT's!!! HAVE FUN, YOU'VE FINALLY GOTTEN WHAT YOU'VE WORKED FOR!

Josie, I think you and I are in the exact same predicament with regard to this whole transfer process. Also, when I called CALS a few weeks ago, they said you should have your decision by mid-may. But people on here are saying within the next week or two. I dunno what's going on.

Madden, yeah i think we are in the exact same predicament. i emailed them tho and said that i needed it as soon as possible due to housing/course selection at my current college and they said they put me on a list of ppl who need to know as soon as possible.

also cornellAEM, said that last year she got her decision letter on april 14th, and it was a 2 yr GT... so yeah

just in case you don't already know... the website updates at midnight each night...

i know b/c last year i applied as a soph transfer for the hell of it... (w/o GT) and i was checking like every five mins, the day i knew i had to find out, and it updated at 12:01....

I need strength beyond strength, c'mon CALS admissions, you be my dairy queen I'll be your burger king. You treat me right and we'll have it your way (ok that's a pick-up line, but I think it applies).

can you just go to a community college for the first one or two years before you transfer to cornell? Or is that not a smart thing to do since community college is probably easier than "real" college? cuase wouldn't you be able to maintain a higher gpa at a community college? thanks!
