Guaranteed Transfer

Is it true that my GPA won't transfer over to Cornell, just my credits?
How do they expect me to apply to medical school?!?!

Read the PM I sent you

the answer is yes.

on this topic, they say they take up to 60 credits. Will they really take all credits from this year at their value cut them down? because I believe i'll have near 45 credits coming in as a sophomore if they take everything

As long as the course you took is comparable to a course offered at Cornell...then all of your credits will transfer. I had 34 credits at my old school...but only 32 transferred because I took a 2 credit seminar that Cornell did not offer anything similar to.

Wait...does the GPA transfer?

no...the GPA does not transfer

I'm a GT to Cornell and I'm also in the honors program at Boston College (for the top 5% of freshman at BC). I moved into BC three weeks ago and I'm in love with the school, it's a perfect fit for me. At the same time, Cornell was my first choice as a senior in high school...I'm not sure whether or not I should bother pursuing the GT option...will a Cornell degree carry that much more weight than an honors degree from Boston College? If it makes a difference, I'm pre-med with a major in biology.

I would just stay there honestly. Honors from BC sounds like it would be right up than regular pre-med at Cornell. Then again wth do I know, I'm a weather major!

Most schools do not take gpa transfers. I don't know of any that do.

If you are in love, you should stay put.

Ya I'd recommend you stay if you love it. BC is a great school and can take you places if u have the gpa of an honors student. If you become more unsure then just go thru with the GT reqs and choose after. Some people are just positive people so if you are one of them (like I am) then think more about it. But if u love it and feel like it's a perfect fit then stay :)
