Okay, I have a big problem.

There is currently yellow globs of Guerilla glue stuck to my car(both on the outside paint and on my side mirror, there's some on the hood and some dripping down the side of the car. All of this is dried and hardened. I need to get this off because I backed up into one of those big dumpsters because I wasn't paying attention and I knocked my side mirror off! My friend helped glue it back on/in the socket but we made a mess in the process.. My parents can't find out and right now I'm stuck red handed!

Does anyone know of a solvent or way to get it off without damaging the car and side mirror? Or do I need to take it to the shop and have them get it off?

Ok, here's the deal. I suggest you let your parents know what you did to the car. It says alot for maintaining a level of trust between all parties.

There's a toll free number on the bottle. Ask to speak with a tech advisor. They will give you the appropriate solvent that will dissolve the glue. It might also be found on the MDS (manufacturer's data sheet) probably accessible through the glue manufacturer's website.

The solvent that will dissolve the glue may well damage the car paint. Test first in an inconspicupus area, inside the trunk, underside of the hood.

You used the wrong adhesive for the application. You may very well have more damage trying to remove the glue.

And please, I'd advise you not to seek medical advice from your friend if their level of expertise in that area equates to their knowledge of basic repair.

Good luck. And admit what you did. Trust me.

Never would have thought to call them violadad.. thanks a bunch--and yes, I did just tell my mom because I got scared since no one had replied. :) She was completely cool about it, too..
