Guide me in the right direction for a career in International Relations

Hey everyone. I did a search on programs in International Relations but I think my situation is slightly different. I am currently an Accounting/Economics major at a state school and after still exploring different career paths, I realized that I should stick with my true passion, International Relations, Foreign Policy/Affairs, International Economics/Trade. I really need advice on how I can get there as far as work experience and graduate programs are concerned.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

By the way, I have browsed the sticky thread on MA in International Relations and I still made this thread to figure out if going into this career is possible for me. Thanks.

By the way, for those who think I am doing this just because I think it’s “cool” I don’t give a damn about the salary, prestige, etc.!!

I am genuinely interested in foreign affairs/econ development and I think working for a think tank or foreign policy experts would be very beneficial for me!!
