[</em>]HADES= acronym for Hotchkiss, Andover, Deerfield, Exeter, and SPS
[<em>]GLADCHEMMS= acronym for Groton, Lawrenceville, Andover, Deerfield, Choate, Hotchkiss, Exeter, Milton, Middlesex, SPS
[</em>]EC= extra curricular activities
[<em>]Bump= someone is trying to move the thread back to the top to the thread list so it gets more views/ responses
[</em>]10 char= CC requires 10 characters to make a post, so 10 char helps meet that requirement
[<em>]Rec= recommendation (as in teacher recommendation)
[</em>]Hook= something that makes you stand out among other applicants (example: URM, underwater basket weaver)
[<em>]URM= under represented minority (such as black or Native American)
[</em>]ORM= over represented minority (Asians)
[<em>]SSAT= entrance exam required by many private schools for the admission process
[</em>]FA= financial aid
[<em>]FP= full pay
[</em>]D (as in my D)= daughter
[<em>]S (as in my S)= son
[</em>]OP= original poster

** In order to format your post, erase the spaces between the brackets and put it right before what you want formatted. At end of it, put the second part to stop the formatted change.
Example: [ b ] random words[ /b ] **

<p>To tag someone: put @ in front of their username (just like twitter) Example: @omgjusttellme</p>
<p>Emojis: To add emojis to your post, look to the upper right hand corner of the box you type in where there should be a white smiley face. Click on it, and it gives you a drop down menu with many options. There is no drop down menu for private messages. :(|) :bz >:) ~:> </p>
