Guns, Germs, and Steel

Anyone else have to read this stupid book for AP World History? By Jared Diamond my class has to read it and it sucks!!!

Nope we dont!!..atleast not yet

we have to read it for AP world history...just not yet....

Give it a chance. I think it's a great book, and Diamond's thesis is both interesting and important.

I loved that book. Really, just give it a chance.

My teacher lent out the book to some of her students. All of the students that read the book got a 5 on the test.

It's not a stupid book. Oh and watch the movie if you don't wanna read it.

Good luck for USMA, join the military academy thread

I watched the movie, it was great. The book was pretty much the same thing. It's a very interesting theory he has, but I guess you'll have to have a certain interest in the subject to fully appreciate it.

he has some really interesting thoughts on how certain factors have influenced history, but like most history books i've read for class it's kind of repetitive. He goes on to talk about the same things over and over for a few chapters.
