<p>Hi! I've never posted before, but I was wondering what perceptions people here had of Gustavus and Luther! I've narrowed it down to these two and I was wondering which you thought was better. I am interested in majoring in either accounting or business management and possibly going to law school after college. I also play piano seriously and percussion to a lesser degree. Anything about either college would be great :)</p>
<p>You might do well to post this in the College Search or Parents forums. Also use the search function and check out the Gustavus forum under Alphabetic list of Colleges.</p>
<p>Both schools have great reputations. Big difference in environments. Decorah is a very small town, around 8k, that is pretty isolated. Although Gustavus is in a small town it is about 15 minutes away from Mankato and an hour away from Minneapolis/St. Paul.</p>
<p>I suspect visiting both schools will help you to decide.</p>
<p>pbrrie, our daughter is a soph at Luther currently and loves it there. Academically she is super satisfied and socially loves it as well. Students and staff are welcoming and friendly. If you are willing to put yourself out there you will find a group/activity right for you. If you are inclined toward music this is the place for you. Our youngest daughter, now a HS Junior, is already aimed toward Luther, and not just because big sis goes there. WE give Luther two thumbs up.</p>
