Hey guys, as college admissions decisions draw closer students obviously become more and more anxious. This anxiety, as you might imagine, brings on a plethora of emotions attempting to convince you of your acceptance or denial to your dream school. I consider myself to be right on the border between acceptance and rejection, however my gut is telling me that I'll get in. Is this me being deluded and hoping for the best, or are gut feelings actually an indication of future acceptance/rejection? Have any of you ever felt this way? If so how'd it go? Thanks!

Sounds silly to me. Admissions isn’t some luck of the draw lottery ticket. Your gut won’t help you. There are countless, intelligent human beings pouring over your applications for hours on end. They are reading every little detail and making judgments about you with every bit of data they read. Admissions is a well oiled machine, not a bingo game.

lol it all depends on the gut :). Mine is pessimistic. Try not to be to too hopeful in case of rejection, specially if your intended school is top tier. Just makes it easier when you open the portal and see the rejection (hopefully that doesn’t happen).
