The real question is now, how many guys have you honestly dealt with lately?
I can tell you're one of those girls that talk too much

this won't be pretty...... this looks like it's getting worse than the presidential campaign

well lets see. my AP Physics C class - about 18guys, 12 girls. however, top 5 grades in the class is 4 guys (me included) and one girl. AP Calc B/C - prob about 18 guys and 12 girls also. Top 3 grades in both Calc B/C classes, 3 guys.

BUT. we go to our humanities. AP Literature - top grade - girl. 2nd highest grade - probably me(guy) or this other girl. It seems in general in my AP lit class, girls are about 100000% more likely to do the readings, and thus, do better on discussions/essays... AP Goverment - top 3 grades/discussion-leaders/debaters - 3 guys (me included)......

but guys. stop making sweeping generalizations such that guys are better at math/science and girls at humanities. Society will often produce these kind of figures because stereotypically, this is the way it has been for the last couple hundred years (not to mention that women for most of our history hasnt been allowed to learn much of anything) and it has been changing.

are there equal numbers of female and male students at caltech and mit? my teacher's daughter didn't go to caltech because she said she wouldn't be welcomed there by a large male population. i'm just wondering.

Wow, I'd think Caltech guys would be dying to get some girls in there.

iplayoboe..theres no use speakin to him nemore..hes goin to twist everything u say and he still doesnt understand that its not bout the statistics..if in the first place he was capable of makin a comment like that his first post...then he's definitely not gonna listen to u..just 4get it..btw..he likes bush..ehhh..

p.s. our country is beginning to go backwards rather than forward..what next..r we gonna bring back the idea of slavery into this country?

this site is not the most accurate place to make a generalization; there are millions of other teenagers who have taken the SAT and who do not frolic around this site. so you do not have enough information to make such a presumption. its basically invalid, so it was rather desultory to bring up a topic like this. just because 3 guys had a higher math then 2 girls, does not make you some incredible person who "researched" this site to state some arbitrary ratio.

yea, sexydesi, i gave up with his "deal with you" "dealing with girls" comment, because it answered my question....

"r we gonna bring back the idea of slavery into this country?"

sexydesi, I hope you don't seriously think that our President is in any way similar to a K.K.K. proponent. That's one of the more ridiculous things I've heard--I know you were exaggerating for the sake of dramatic effect, but that's still something that shouldn't be said.

A major reason Bush was re-elected was that many people are concerned about the moral direction of our country. A crucial point in the campaign was when Kerry stood up after Whoopi Goldberg's obscene diatribe and called it the "heart of America." Kerry had pander to Hollywood for support and remain "moderate" at the same time, hence the 'flip-flops'--and hence the election result.

Not everyone who likes Pres. Bush is sexist/egotistical...appliedmath wasn't showing much brilliance by saying the things he did and then 'endorsing' Bush. That's frankly embarrassing--still, it's not at all in line with other Bush supporters.

i believe you kebree..because in nyc many of my teachers are Bush supporters and they are nothing like appliedmath..dont worry..and actually i dont mind that my teachers actually voted for Bush because honestly they had a reason..i already said this..economy, they arent being affected by Bush's policies negatively..they have jobs etc...but i dont like how a lot of people for example, 44% of latinos voted for Bush because he is against abortions and gay/lesbian marriages but at the same time many of them lost their jobs..gay/lesbian marriages and abortions doesnt affect our everyday lives whereas economic issues do..this is why the election turned out that way..too much importance was given to some of the issues.. thefact that 85 % of Ohio lost their jobs and favor kerrys economic policies, but also a high percentage favor banning same sex marriage, therefore voted Bush-i think is stupid..but thats my opinion..and we all have our own..

i dont dislike people for voting for Bush..I dislike people who wish to stay ignorant all their lives..and close minded because its the easiest thing to do..hey dude i dont pick people to like based on their political views..im sorry i came off that way..but honestly appliedmath was just gettin on my nerves..

he gets on mine, too. =)

bs on the whole "girls are better at verbal crap and guys are better at math crap" crap.

But lets do the math on your 85% because I think it's really funny. The unemployment rate in 2001 in Ohio was 11.2%. This means that 88.8% of Ohio had jobs, and to extend on your point of 85%, that would mean 13.72% of people in Ohio have jobs today. So you hate people who are ignorant eh?
Pw3nd!

I suggest you give up debating against me. I placed 3rd place at state last year and plan to do it again, and how smart do you really think you are? What is your rank in your class? What awards have you won? Anything to back up your points in political arguments? Do you have anything other than fast keyboarding skills and quick rebuttals that make no sense because you always want to believe you are right? The simple fact is, there is no right answer in politics, and you better not treat it as if there were. Good luck in the college application process!

That's it for me boys.

1-...the only thing i said about you was that you were gettin on my nerves...and i was explaining to kebree that i do not dislike people who voted for Bush but of course you misunderstood or purposely ignored in fact what i was sayin just like you were ignoring IPLAYOBOE's main point this whole post...I didn't call you ignorant but hey you are sexist .."To all the guys out there, be REALLY careful when getting married because this is what you'll deal with for the rest of your life." Wow, you know what im not going to even comment on that..because your just sad..

"you can get ****ed off by a person who lives on the other hemisphere of the world and at school you twitches in your desk all day at school angry at some generlization I made"..dear, u didnt make me twitch for a second so dont give yourself so much credit..you need to calm down..the Bush thing also wasnt that serious..i thought i explained myself that i dont give a shyt if your a bush lover..honestly your just annoying. Has nothing to do with Bush..also i wont even go back to that generalization you made..its pointless

yes i admit i made a mistake..i meant 85% were in favor of kerrys economic policies..still that just shows that even though they were in favor his policies, they still went the other way because of issues of gay/lesbian marriages

heh..give up debating?..hun your 3rd place means crap to me..honestly do you think your better than me because of this?..hun my rank is 4/502 students..awards heh..debate awards?..plenty ..instate or away tourneys?..3rd place at state?..is that all you got..heh..awards?..i received scholarships even junior year ..and the Rensselaer medal..and you dont have to tell me theres no right answer in politics because i remember already saying its my own opinion..and therefore if everything is based on opinion and that is what politics is based on then of course there isnt a right answer, if there was..it wouldnt be politics anymore..but honestly all the awards and all that..it doesnt mean anything..soo its just sad that you would ask me a question like that..shows what kind of mind you have..and your egotistical attitude all makes sense now...btw..hun "fast keyboarding skills and quick rebuttals that make no sense because you always want to believe you are right.."..you just described yourself..watch what you say...o yeh btw ..the way you are..you would of been lost the debate on this original post..failure to answer another person's valid argument..soo dont talk bout debate with me dear goo flip a pen(if your a debater you should know what i mean)..and GL in the college app process..heh..

no offense appliedmath... but I stopped reading oyur post after the 1st couple of sentences. too strong, narrow minded, and just not a good post.

no offense but u need more than facts. from your posts, you don't seem to think very clearly

I don't seem to think very clearly? IF you are being truthful in the fact that you stopped reading after my first post how would you know I don't seem to think very clearly? What happend to your logic? You don't have any, that what happend to it. You obviously didn't read this thread, but rather click on it, read the first sentence, and replied immediatley. That's not how a forum works.

And it's pretty obvious you did read more than the first few sentences because you've responded 4 times, that's right FOUR times to this thread.

Seriously, man, calm down. You are acting extremely combative, whether you realize it or not. It is getting you nowhere.

sexydesi: IF you are so annoyed by me why do you keep coming back? By the forum log you visited this thread 26 times within the past 3 days. That's more than anyone else. Honestly, I think you are only annoying yourself.

I'll close off on this, and the thread can be attacked by any other takers at their will.
We are all equal, but the simple fact is, some people are just more equal.

Sexy: It's too bad I have to make this very clear to you. You are NOT ranked 4th in your class nor did you receive a rensselaer award for anything. Their awards require submission of ALL your test scores, and going through your creditials you received a 1200 on the SAT. I also know you haven't received any awards because you didn't specifically list a single one you earned, but instead spoke of mine in a condesceding manner. You've just displayed yourself for public embarrasment. How glamoruos do you find that?

DO not call me hun, for I am NOT your son.
