so what do you think?

highest act score [but didn’t submit since my GPA qualifies]: 28 (33 writing, 28 math)

What does this mean?

Agree with Schmohawk - to my knowledge GW still requires an ACT and/or SAT score for admission?

What is "GPA qualifies:. ACT not submitted??

CJ

I’ll assume that you are submitting that 28.

GW Regular Decision admissions are very hard to predict, so I’ll say if you visited, actively showed interest, wrote a GW-centric- “Why GW” essay, and interviewed, you’re a high match/low reach. If not, then who knows?

oh that was a typo, i actually meant to just say my ACT was a 28. haha sorry!

oh and also, i did interview with them and i’m hoping they thought it went well! i’m visiting in march next year, and i’ve already submitted my app for RD.

sramesh93

ACT 28 for RD is good, about median. GPA unweighted - same - looking at Class of 2014 stats. Your EC’s are very good and it looks like you haver a talent for writing - GW likes this!

If your interview went well and your letters of rec are strong - I’d say a very good chance for RD.

I see not many AP courses - GW looks for more, but it always looks at what your high school curriculum offers and what’s available to you. If there weren’t many offered, then that is not a negative.

I’d vote yes!

Best of luck

(FYI - for comparison - my son was RD for 2014: GPA 3.87 (unweighted), top 10%, ACT 28, SAT 2100, good letters, good interview). He’s in Elliott in IA’s and loves it!

CJ

GPA: Relatively weak(er), but decent- at least NHS-worthy.
APs/Honors: weak
Community college classes: good
ECs: fine
Test scores: decent

I would say that you have a chance, but are not a shoe-in. Was the 3.6 UW GPA in high school classes that were not AP? What was your GPA at the community college?
