My Chances at GW?

Hey everyone, I just wanted to know if I had any shot at getting accepted into GW. Here are some of my stats:

SAT's: 1780 (Yes, they're really low, but I've only taken them once. I'm still a junior)

SAT II: World History: 740

GPA: 3.822 (weighted) 3.52 (unweighted) Class Rank: 78/362

Course Load:
All academic classes have been Honors courses plus two AP's this year. I plan to take five or six AP's senior year.

Extra Ciruculars:
Volunteer at the local SPCA
Volunteer at the Red Cross
Volunteer at the Salvation Army
Member of Kare (community service club at school, and will be leader next year.)
National Italian Honor Society
National German Honor Society (next year)
NHS
Model UN
Piano lessons for 12 years
Meditation Club (President)
Newspaper
School TV News
Mock Trial
Yearbook
CISV
I also learn Chinese and Hindi outside of school. In school I learn Italian, German and, next year, French. (If you haven't noticed, I focus a lot on languages. I also speak Korean.)
I plan to a) Get a job this year or b) get an internship with my State Senator (if I can..) or c) get an internship at the local courthouse.
Applied to PA Governer's School, and will attend either GU's Summer program or GW's Summer Program if I'm rejected.

Sorry if I sounded like I bragged in this post. Didn't mean to, I'm just getting it all out.

while your list of extra curriculars are impressive, you only have what, 2 leadership positions? i mean, thats not bad but it doesnt make your extra curriculars as strong as they could be

aside from that, the SAT wouldnt be a problem if it was offset with a very high GPA... unfortunately a 3.5 UW doesnt qualify into that account... id say that if you got the SAT up to around 2000 you'd have a solid chance... without an SAT rise probably slight reach/reach

If you are able to maintain your GPA and raise your SAT scores to the mid 1900 range; I believe you will have a good chance of being admitted. Don't stress about it though, just focus on school work and studying for the SATs.

if you have a poor GPA (3.3,3.4) but everything else was fine/great do you think GW would look it over twice or would they just look at the GPA and toss it
Cheers

groenveld9, wrote you a message...still getting the hang of this...hope you see it!

i got it and thanks again happycollegemom!

happycollegemom, my GPA is also around the 3.3 - 3.4 range, so I'm a little nervous too. I'm hoping that my ECs, reccomendations, and essays are all superb enough to balance it out, but my relatively low class rank still gives me some worry.
